Gerhard Berger surged to victory in the Portuguese Grand Prix. Ayrton Senna retired following a collision with Nigel Mansell three laps after the Briton had received a disqualification for reversing in the pit lane.

40x14 – 1989 Spanish Grand Prix

The 73-lap race was won from pole position by Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost was third. Nigel Mansell was banned from the race and fined $50,000 following his disqualification and collision with Senna in the previous race.

40x15 – 1989 Japanese Grand Prix

Senna is disqualified for cutting through a chicane after a crash with Prost and Prost is World Champion for the third time.

40x16 – 1989 Australian Grand Prix
