Kevin is called in to assist Cranky at Brendam Docks, but Cranky is insistent that he doesn't need any help - especially from a funny little crane like Kevin.

Scruff gets a new coat of paint and doesn't want to ruin it by working at Whiff's Waste Dump so he sets off to look for another job.

Winston wishes he could go without a driver and gets his chance when the Fat Controller forgets to apply his handbrake.

Gordon suffers a knock to his boiler which causes a leak. Pompous Gordon ignores a warning from Paxton and carries on, but soon comes to a complete stop.

Caitlin, a streamlined engine from the Mainland, has to spend the night on Sodor and is so excited that she keeps everyone awake.

Thomas and Percy teach Stafford the Electric Shunting Engine how to make steam engine noises.

Hiro teaches Henry that sometimes it is best to keep puffing, even if you are burning bad coal.

Luke befriends a timid little deer at the Blue Mountain Quarry.

Luke and Millie swap jobs for the day.

There's nothing Charlie loves more than telling jokes, so when he spots an elephant on the tracks and tries to inform the other engines they all think it's just another one of Charlie's japes.

Following an accident at a water-tower, Paxton sets off to find Thomas' "lost puff". He doesn't realise that "puff" is just another word for "steam" and ends up looking foolish.

Thomas and Duck have to take Harold for repairs. Thomas thinks it would be nice show Harold some sights, but Duck is determined to carry out the job "the Great Western way" which means taking the most direct and prompt route.

17x13 – Episode 13
James tricks Percy and Stephen into believing that "The Phantom Express" is roaming around Ulfstead Castle.

17x14 – Episode 14
After a bout of bad luck, Percy is given a lucky charm. Percy is impressed with the charm when his luck starts to change, but he had dropped the charm just after he was given in and hadn't noticed.

17x15 – Episode 15
Bill and Ben play a cunning trick on Connor the new streamlined engine.

17x16 – Episode 16
A team of railway inspectors question whether or not Sir Topham Hatt needs two fire engines. This causes panic for Flynn as Belle keeps getting to fires before him.

17x17 – Episode 17
Thomas dislikes his snowplough and decides to hide it. He soon regrets it when he has to stay in the shed while the other engines are having fun in the snow.

17x18 – Episode 18
Sir Topham Hatt is to stand-in for Santa Claus at Ulfstead Castle and the Earl gets him a real sleigh. Unfortunately, Thomas bumps into it, sending it hurtling down the hill with Sir Topham inside.

17x19 – Episode 19
Diesel 10 steals the steam engines' Christmas decorations and Sidney the Diesel finally gets his new wheels after two years of waiting.

17x20 – Episode 20
When the turntable gets frozen solid, Gordon selfishly takes the one accessible berth and becomes trapped in Tidmouth Sheds.

A new engine named Porter arrives at the docks and Salty, who is suffering from engine problems, fears he has come to take his job.

James is ordered to take the "Flying Kipper" train and ends up getting covered in smelly fish.

Diesel tries to show Hiro how troublesome trucks can be, but ends up spoiling the Fat Controller's trousers - twice.

Bill and Ben tease Harvey about his hook and say he must be going fishing. However, Harvey knows being a crane has its advantages which he proves when he derails some flatbeds and is able to clear up his own mess.

17x25 – Episode 25
To beat Bertie in a race, Thomas tries to find a shortcut. Unfortunately, he ends up causing confusion and delay when he comes off the rails.

17x26 – Episode 26
Stephen is given the job of being the Afternoon Tea Express for Ulfstead Castle. He is not very fast and gets the other engines to give him a push to speed him up. Unfortunately, Spencer pushes him too fast.
