3x1 – Episode 1

Arthur has been sending fan letters to John Wayne for years. When John Wayne visits the town to film a movie, for publicity he has a scheduled stop at Arthur's home. But the ceiling caves in, and the event is held instead at Maude's place.

3x2 – Episode 2

Walter is upset and feeling unloved because of work pressure and things at home. Vivian is upset because Arthur does not like her dog. They turn to each other for comfort and a kiss. Maude and Arthur see it.

3x3 – Episode 3

Walter tries to help his bookkeeper not commit suicide and suffers a mild heart attack at her apartment. At the hospital, he tries to hide the fact he was at a woman's apartment from Maude.

3x4 – Episode 4

Since Florida has left, Maude hires a new maid, sight unseen. At first, she seems like a dream, but then she caters only to Walter since he is the master of the house. Maude corrects her.

3x5 – Episode 5

When Walter and Arthur go on a camping trip, they get stopped for speeding by a cop who is only too happy to throw them in jail for not paying the ticket.

3x6 – Episode 6

Maude brags to Vivian that an old boyfriend still finds her attractive when she receives a card from him. It becomes a competition for his supposed affection when Vivian also gets a card from the same old boyfriend.

3x7 – Episode 7

When Walter and Arthur return from a Canadian fishing trip, Walter tells Maude he wants to move to Canada. He puts his appliance store up for sale. Maude is determined not to move.

3x8 – Episode 8

Both Maude and Walter have their own problems to deal with, causing them to have restless nights. Maude is facing a hysterectomy and Walter has problems at his store.

3x9 – Episode 9

Maude and Walter find a naked man in the maid's closet.

3x10 – Episode 10

Arthur tells Vivian at the last minute that he is bringing twelve people home for dinner. Frantic, Vivian asks Maude and Mrs. Naugatuck to help her. Everything prepared, Maude and Walter go to the party and find they are not invited.

3x11 – Episode 11

Maude gets promoted to Office Manager at her work. One man that reports to her does not take her seriously and tries to sabotage Maude's work.

3x12 – Episode 12

Maude's new male friend is gay, and Maude thinks she is being very liberal in understanding him. She learns a few truths about herself.

3x13 – Episode 13

Walter and Maude are delighted to hear that Walter's ex-wife is getting married which means he can stop alimony payments. When they find out the intended groom is Maude's rich uncle, they realize she is only marrying Henry for his money.

3x14 – Episode 14

Walter & Maude host a costume New Year's Eve Party where everyone has to show up in clothing that represents the year they think was the best. Everyone has a different idea of what year was the best as the costumes vary greatly.

3x15 – Episode 15

A famed psychic reads Maude's fortune and alerts her to some surprising events that will occur in the near future, one of them being that she will marry for a fifth time. Maude begins to worry about this possibility when the psychic's other predictions start coming true. Ultimately, Maude decides the best thing to do is to remarry Walter; however, he throws a fit when she suggests a double ring ceremony.

3x16 – Episode 16

Maude and the gang come together to perform in a telethon that Maude has organized. However, when she fails to come up with a celebrity to appear in the telethon she is left organizing a telethon without a cause, when the charity for which Maude has put in a lot of work withdraws at the last moment. As the minutes wind down, she must come up with a cause or face being taken off the air.

3x17 – Episode 17

When Carol returns home one morning and announces that she is engaged, Maude is ecstatic until she discovers the future groom is already married.

3x18 – Episode 18

When Maude recruits Vivian into women's liberation, Arthur is not pleased that Vivian is ignoring her "household duties," and when she tries to stand up for herself, Arthur refuses to listen, putting their marriage in a delicate position.

3x19 – Episode 19

While Maude, Vivian and Carol are planning a bridal shower for Mrs. Nagatuck, she gets devastating news that the wedding has been called off.

3x20 – Episode 20

When Walter's business is in $12,000 debt and is facing bankruptcy, Maude suggests that she mortgage the house to get the funds, but a stubborn Walter won't let her, so she does anyway and ask Arthur to say the money came from him.

3x21 – Episode 21

When Walter suddenly becomes passionate about religion and drags Maude to church services. Maude is less than thrilled with attending and can hardly stay awake. She becomes even more irate when she learns the reason for Walter's sudden conversion.

3x22 – Episode 22

When Vivian and Arthur get into a sudden romantic mood which leads to Arthur inviting Vivian away on a romantic weekend to a cabin, Maude becomes unsure of her marriage with Walter. Trying to put the spark back in her marriage, Maude plans a romantic weekend but the situation turns out to be less than ideal.

3x23 – Episode 23

Maude is a bundle of nerves with her mother's upcoming visit to meet Walter for the first time. Her insecurities come out when her mother arrives, just as Walter's first tv commercials hit the air and aren't as respectable as Maude hoped.
