Opener was a worthless "enhancement" match that saw Ahmed get way too much offence on Banks; yes, he's bigger in stature - but Banks is the pushed star that was a finalist in last years tournament to see who would face the current champion, he shouldn't be selling this much against a debuting talent that is clearly not a big deal [*]. This is really a show about the opening match and the final segment. Everything in the middle did what it needed to but if you're already familiar with Wildboar and you either don't care or can see where they're going with the Dennis/Mastiff feud, then you really don't need to see either of those matches. I do want to mention however that the addition of Sid Scala as Johnny Saint's assistant is, for me, a raging success. Amir and Kenny finally get their first win, not just as a tag team but each of their first wins overall in NXT UK. It was a decent enhancement match with a good finishing sequence. Isla vs. Xia was very much a technical match which saw Isla come out on top, and for the most part it was smooth. This episode was average, not all that good but not bad either. Bate vs. Gallagher was a 100% technical match that included nothing except chain wrestling and submissions. The main event was definitely the highlight of this episode. It was a really good long match that served to effectively end the Devlin-Banks feud (***1/2). The opening match was also pretty good, and while the two mid-card matches weren't bad, they're also not much to talk about and mainly served to help establish the winners. The three undercard matches were all okay, but nothing special. The main event was really good, bordering on great, and really helped set up the upcoming Dunne vs. WALTER title match at TakeOver. The first two matches, although mainly purposed just to further establish the victors, were both better than undercard matches on this show usually are, especially the woman's match. This episode of nxt uk was normal and decent.. Andrews Vs. Conners was fine.. Tag champs promo was decent.. Xia Vs. Kelly was on low rate.. Ligero Vs. Dar was decent.. and main event , Walter Vs. Banks was almost good.. overall in my opinion was average and decent.

"The matches here are largely skippable, I think everyone will be disappointed in how the main event turned out. A promo between Storm and Ray as well setting up their match for TakeOver, average at best. Not a lot of energy in any of the matches, I think this week is the last of the Download Festival tapings, hopefully next week benefits from a change of scenery.

A good all round show here, some spotlight for the women and a very good main event. Dar v Williams a good match, the 6 women tag Aldo good but I really do highly recommend watching the main event id give that a 9/10 (oops a rating, oh so naughty how dare I) and for the show overall an above average 7.

Pretty good show, started strong with the TakeOver announcement and the Imperium interruption, lulled a bit with the Gallus and Ripley stuff but made them look good and strong so no complaints. Then a really cool promo package for Storm v Ray, I hope it's the hype package they use on the night for TakeOver. Then an alright main event between Devlin and Wolfe.

Pretty good this, Dragunov v Ohno told a good story and although with the other three matches none of them were particularly long there was nothing wrong with them either. Noam Dar on commentary was pretty funny and Walter's segment from Germany was done really really well. Pretty hyped also for Coffey-Mastiff and Ripley-Niven.

"Good night of wrestling and a good build to TakeOver, the highlight being Devlin v Williams was a really good match and a good show closing brawl by the tag division. Probably disappointing to not see much of Storm or Walter on the go home show, but there was nothing wrong with what we got.

Recap show from Cardiff, these shows always suck a little bit and no exception here. Of what minimal in ring action there was Niven v Ripley never got going and although it was good to see Scala in action pretty predictable main event result."

Thought this was overall acceptable, the main event brings this up from a 3-4 for me. I hope they do the British Rounds match again just not too frequently. And yes I'm aware it's a WOS idea but it was still a good main event. Ripley, Conners and Banks were all alright without being great.

First two matches were decent but nothing you can't miss. I was afraid Noam Dar's presence in the main event would be too much suck for Trent Seven to overcome, but I dared to watch anyway. Other than a couple nice lariats, I should've stared at the wall for 10 minutes instead, especially with that finish. Is Trent's towel the new Moppy? Even Walter's bully session at the Performance Center was mediocre, uncharacteristically. The only thing I found real stokage for was the seeds of a Devlin v Bate feud being planted.
