Hospitalized after a cardiac crisis, recovering Edwin is bored to death and makes visit-forced Hui act as his partner on the spot to inform him about the latest possible murder case. Fabian Riem claims he killed his wife presuming it was a nocturnal robber. Dr. Rosalind Schmidt discretely joins Edwin's informal investigation, which extends to a second corpse: the robber who operated in the neighborhood since weeks, but isn't necessarily the same or related, so motives are crucial. Günter duly suspects Edwin of enjoying being waited on hand and foot by Heidrun to doge dreary dusty files work. Indeed Edwin returns to the precinct when the corpse is found of apparently relapsed ex-junkie Julius Grating, who seemingly started dealing the drugs found on him in the youth center where he volunteered. Julius was thrown out by his despairing parents, but model-brother Bastian Grating, a self-supporting law student, swears he achieved full detox by taking Julius in for months, which his autopsy confirms. 3x4 – Gut für die Gerechtigkeit
After a bare breast feminist protest in Femen style, also in central Cologne, radical youngster Lisa Rossmann is found murdered on the street. Chief Plocher, Vicky Adam and Hui fail to keep Edwin and Günter out of the case, duly fearing PC nonsense from the press, but the seniors agree it's wiser to make young, sensitive minority member Hui their spokesman. First suspect is Lisa's long-term stalker, who proves inoffensive. A masterly shot at a couple making love in a car pierces the man to hospital, his lover fatally. Survivor Peter Schmitz is a popular call-boy, whose wife agreed while clients recommended him to each-other, but this was a loving freebie, adding his wife Anja to a long suspect list of cheated partners. A supermarket client finds in her car boot the corpse of a corporate bank merger executive, who should be on a business flight to Ireland, and whose equally discrete workaholic boss -having demand a court order- claims to know nothing about his Kuala Lumpur trip plans. Hui discovers he was a regular client a dominatrix studio, whose client list includes the police chief. 3x9 – Willkommen im Chaos
In the chaos while the precinct moves to new premises, a biotech entrepreneur's fatal car accident file lands with murder detectives Günter and Edwin, who jump on it to be spared helping settling into the new offices. Hui Ko links it with the also accidentally delivered file of a theft of toxic spiders, as the coroner finds one did bite the businessman, so they check out his partners, who may all have been targets of suspicious incidents, and the revolutionary cloning-prone human genetic technology. Günter, his family, Edwin and their colleagues nearly have a fit as the newspaper prints a wanted still from a security video featuring their faces as antiquities shop thieves. Neither Günter nor Edwin has a solid alibi , so incredulous theft section commissioner Ennoch must consider them prime suspects, while chief Plocher insists on discretion until the case is properly solved, and the culprit strikes again, while neither has an alibi. 3x12 – Mord im Dunkeln
Despite Edwin's vehement protests, the team lust attend an administrative seminar. Edwin having lost the way, theu car breaks down at sunset, without phone reception. They register for the night at the only local inn, where the phone is out of order due to repairs. After 'just another' power cut, the owner's wife's corpse lies in the lobby. The team must return in the morning to investigate all staff and the rare guests, mostly local regulars, focusing on property, job and romantic relationships. Gesehen von 1 User |

On zoo visit with father Thomas Schauer and grandpa Georg Schauer, four year-old diabetic Finn disappears. Günter having back surgery on mission abroad and the missing persons PD section immobilized by a virus, Edwin, Vicky and Hui Ko take the case. Thomas and Finn's separated Swedish mother, who plans a return to Göteburg, both filed for sole custody. Security footage shows Finn with stranger Gisela Carstens. On the road to a last football (socker) team practice, villa-dwelling gifted player Oskar Ribenbrok is beaten in hospital by a masked man wielding an iron rod. His poor teammate Leon Thame was victim of a hit and run a day before. Both 19 year-old boys thus miss out on a scouting and possible pro contract. 3x15 – Alles Symbolik
Three seemingly unrelated murders by gun in one day stretch the team, with Gunther still in hospital, to the limit, yet they grudgingly welcome the active participation of captain Plocher. Two victims have old criminal records, the third is unknown, but all share a shark-tattoo, which was posthumously knife-barred. It refers to the crime gang of Mackie 'the knife' Messerschmidt, dead two years, whose son Vincent claims to have inherited only the legal nightclubs. It looks like an inner-gang settlement.
