Slim Sherman and Jess Harper rescue a troupe of Japanese entertainers on their way east when their wagon breaks down near the ranch. Slim Sherman is up in the high country catching horses for the ranch when he catches one that he thinks is ideal for Mike. When Mike's horse is stolen from the ranch, Slim hits the trail to find the horse and it puts him in the middle of war between squatters and cattlemen up in the high country. Rancher Mel Bishop is desperate to find better range for his cattle and Jason Duncan is leader of the squatters on government land denying Bishop access.
