#Brightburn was FUCKING AMAZING!

Let's celebrate the worst movie of the year! And I was hyped for this shit. Terrible script, weird directing, okay to bad acting, dumb characters... yep, it's a mess. #Brightburn pic.twitter.com/DqT6OI0wui

Caught #Brightburn
A super anti-hero horror. Ehhh, it's an idea that I fell in love with, but it didn't translate to the viewing experience. Felt like a live action MK Fatality compilation.
Pros: sick gore + effects
Cons: hardly any story, some people lived who deserved death pic.twitter.com/wlGcva7rH6

Review coming (very) soon, but I dug #Brightburn. It's surprisingly nasty and gory, and overwhelmingly bleak. It's like MAN OF STEEL meets Rob Zombie's HALLOWEEN. pic.twitter.com/KYlaeluEJA

#Brightburn was amazing for me. Unashamedly a superman origin story, complete with the same kansas city parents, settings and alliteration in the main character's name, only with a villainous twist. A refreshing take after all the recent cotton candies i'm getting from MCU. pic.twitter.com/9EynC08Bae

"An unexpected, thrilling, and sometimes hard-to-watch supervillain origin." — @KirstenAcuna on the @JamesGunn-produced #Brightburn out this weekend. https://t.co/CpFeODoFvd

So, #Brightburn.
Could've used more heft with its story. Some good gory moments though, but some might make you wince. (Oof, the eye.) And @ElizabethBanks KILLED it as the mom.
Good stuff for those that can take it. Not your typical hero fare.

#Brightburn transforms Superman into a scary slasher villain, but the film riffs so hard on pre-existing tropes that it never quite finds its own identity.
Still, it's a clever, interesting film. I want a franchise. Now.
